On Wednesday, June 17, 2015, the most unimaginable and senseless act of violence, hatred and evil occurred in Charleston SC. Nine Christians having bible study at Emanuel AME Church were shot and killed. Emanuel AME Church: Emanuel African
Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church is the oldest AME church in the south. It is
referred to as "Mother Emanuel". Emanuel has one of the largest
and oldest black congregations south of Baltimore, Maryland. Click here to learn more about the church. The congregation has returned to worshipping in the sanctuary and having bible study in the room were the murders took place. "Lord forgive our trespasses, as we forgive those who have trespassed against us."

Donate To Help Victims and Their Families: The City of Charleston has setup a fund through Wells Fargo,that will
provide direct financial support for the funeral and burial expenses of the
nine victims of the senseless tragedy. Any
funds remaining after the funeral and burial expenses are paid will be donated
directly to the Emanuel AME Church for use as determined by its governance

Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; it is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. |
